Reliable Plumbing holds Public Liability Insurance cover to the value of AUD $20 million, ensuring that the cost of any injury to you or damage to your property caused by Reliable Plumbing or its employees is covered.
We also hold all other business insurance cover required by law, including WorkSafe Workers’ Compensation insurance.

How much experience do you and your people have?
Reliable Plumbing Services was established nearly 40 years ago and the founding director still works within the business. Our service technicians and tradespeople have more than 100 years’ combined experience, each with relevant qualifications in plumbing or gasfitting.
All have completed an apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in accordance with the Victorian Plumbing Regulations, and our award-winning team includes a Victorian Apprentice of the Year winner and Australian Apprentice of the Year finalist.

How do you ensure your service technicians complete each job correctly?
Every service technician must have the training and experience required by the Plumbing Industry Commission to be licensed or registered to carry out plumbing work. We carry out regular appraisals of our technicians’ qualifications and provide any additional training required to ensure that they remain current. We only assign technicians to jobs that match their competency levels and qualifications.
As a further precaution, after each job, we review all documentation and confirm that the schedule of work completed is correct. We also conduct random Site Audits to ensure jobs have been completed correctly.

Do you have an Occupational Health & Safety management system?
Reliable Plumbing has a comprehensive set of policies and procedures that ensure a safe, professional workplace for our clients, our people and the general public. We have implemented a company-wide Occupational Health & Safety management program and our commitment to safety includes regular training and re-certification of all tradesmen and apprentices.
We work regularly in the education sector and we participate in the Working with Children Check programme. Where necessary, any service technician from Reliable Plumbing is screened and carries a WWC check card.
Do you have written procedures for managing OH&S risks?
We have a legal obligation to provide a safe and healthy workplace at all times and an important part of our OH&S management system deals with risk management and safe-work procedures.
We prepare and use written Safe Work Method Statements (SWMSs) that include formal Risk Assessments. We can’t start work until we have either eliminated or controlled any risk effectively and we have obtained a formal sign-off for every SWMS.
Do you have a written company Environmental policy?
Our Environmental Policy is both clear and in writing – every member of the Reliable Plumbing team is aware of the need to protect the environment for the benefit of our employees, our customers and the general public. Out technicians are assigned to clients well in advance of each scheduled visit and we ensure that all your administration is handled promptly and professionally.
